A RESOLUTION GRANTING THE USE OP THE ORANGE
BOWL STADIUM TO THE BARTELL BROADCASTING CIF
FLORIDA, INC. FOR TI#E PURPOSE OE CONDUCTING
ITS FIRST ANNUAL "SUPER But OP ROCF AND ROLL"
ON MAY 7, 1977, SUBJECT TO STADIUM RULES AND
REGULATIONS AND ADVANCE PAYMENT FOR EVENT
PERSONNEL AND ALL OTHER DIRECT COSTS !NCLUD=N
BUT NOT LIMITED TO ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF, COM-
MUNICATION TECHNICIANS, .SOUND ENGINEERS,
CLEAR UP AND ELECTRICITY; FURTHER CONDITIONING
THE ABOVE GRANT OF USE UPON Tat CITY'S BEING
GIVEN .ACCESS, UPON REASONABLE REQUEST, TO THE
FINANCIAL RECORDS OF THE AFORESAID FIRM
RELATING TO THE EVENT AT ANY TIME PRIOR TO

WITHINN 20 DAYS THEREAFTER; FURTHER CONDITIONING

LIABILITY INSURANCE BY THE AFORESAID FIRM IN
SUCH__ AMOUNTS AND FROM APPROVED CARRIERS AS
THE CITY MANAGER DEEMS APPP.OPRIATE FOR THE
P • • e TION OF 1HE CITY; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXECUTE AN AGR8EME'NT WITH THE AFORESAID FIRM CONTAINING ALL
OF THE TERNS AND CONDITIONS SET FORTH IN THIS RESOLUTION.
WHEREAS, an opportunity has arisen for the community
and the City's underprivileged youths to be exposed to a day
long free concert in the Orange Bowl Stadium featuring several
top recording groups and stars of modern music; and
WHEREAS, the entire promotion costs of the above
cultural and entertainment program will be borne by a local
radio station, WMJX, also known as 96X, which is licensed by
the FCC as a licensee to the City of Miami, Florida; and
t+tHEREAS, the said radio station has agreed that the
food concession for the event will remain with the City of
Miami and the said station has also agreed that if the station
is granted the concession for the sale of event programs and
souvenirs it will turn over all net profits from the event,
if any, to the City Treasury; and
WHEREAS, the said station will provide a full accoun
ing of all receipts and disbursements by it in connection with
the event within 20 days thereafter and further agrees that upon

to the City of Miami will be significant; and•

will be made available for advance distribution by the Depart-
ment of Parks and •Recreation to the City 8 underprivileged
youths; and
WHEREAS, the event will be held subject to all of
the applicable rules and regulations of the Orange Bowl Stadium.

THE • CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:'
Section 1..• Use of the Orange Bowl Stadium•by the •
Bartell Broadcasting of Florida, Inc. for the purpose of con-.
. . ducting its first annual SUPER BOWL OF ROCK AND ROLL on .May.74
1977,..subject to stadium .rules • and regulations and advance
payment for event personnel and all other direct costs includ-
ing but not limited to administrative staff, communication
technicians, sound engineers, clean up and electricity is
hereby granted,
Section 2. The above grant of use is conditioned
upon the City's being given •access, upon reasonable request,
to the financial records of the aforesaid firm relating to
the event at any time prior to the event; further upon the.

aforesaid firm'reeMent) in writing) to provide to the
City a full ACC6Unting Of all receipts and disbursements
by it it connection with the event within 20 days thereafter.
Section 3. The above grant of use if conditioned
upon the obtaining of liability insurance by the aforesaid
firm in such amounts and from approved carriers as the City
Manager deems appropriate for the protection of the City.
Section 4. The City Manager is hereby authorized
to execute an agreement with the aforesaid firm for the use
of the Orange Bowl Stadium in accordance with all of the terms
and conditions as set forth above.
