A RESOLUTION APPROVING A ONE (1) YEAR
EXTENSION Ott EMPLOYMENT PAST THE AGE
OF 72.,1/2 t+OR JUAN PERU, CUSTODIAN
FOREMAN, DEPARTMENT OP PUBLIC FACILITIES,
EFFECTIVE MARCH 8, 1977 THROUGH MARCH 7, 1978,
WITH THE PROVISION THAT IN THE EVENT OF A
ROLLBAC1< OR LAYOFF, MR, PE11E2, RATHER THAN A
JUNIOR EMPLOYEE, WOULD BE AFFECTED.
WHEREAS, the Civil Service Board, on March 3, 1977,
unanimously recommended the approval of employment past the age
of 72-1/2 for JUAN PERE2, CUSTODIAN FOREMAN, bEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC
FACILITIES; and
WHEREAS, the City Physician has determined that the
physical condition of said JUAN PEREZ is satisfactory for continued
employment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. A one (1) year extension of employment
past the age of 72-1/2 is hereby granted for JUAN PEREZ, CUSTODAIN
FOREMAN, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC FACILITIES, effective March 8, 1977
through March 7, 1978, with the provision that in the event of a
rollback or layoff, MR. PEREZ, rather than a junior employee, would
be affected.

Juan Perez Request for
continuation of Active Service
beyond age 72
Mr. Juan Perez; who is classified as Custodian Foreman with this
department, has requested continuation of active service beyond
his 72nd birthday, March 8, 1977.
In accordance with Rule II, Section 4 of the Civil Service Rules and
Regulations of the City of Miami, Florida, it is hereby recommended
that Mr. Perez be retained on active service.
Mr. Perez is utilized In a supervisory capacity: and replacement of
a person with his dedication, years of experience, ability to handle
subordinates, bilingual ability, and energy would be extremely
difficult.
This department is most desirous of retaining his services.
