810 OF REGENCY MOTORS FOR '6 PICK UP TRUCKS AND 2 VANS At A COST OF
$ 24995,94; BID OF CRANE CRos, FOR i STATION WAGONS AT A COST OF
$13,898,97; 8I0 or HONDA NORTH FOR 5 THREE WHEEL POLICE VEHICLES
At A COST OF $27,216,O0 AT A TOTAL COST OF $425,904,78 ALLOCATING
FUNDS FROM tut FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUND; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER AND THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ISSUE THE PURCHASE ORDERS FOR
THIS EQUIPMENT.
WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received
February 8, 1977 for the furnishing of automotive vehicles for the Depart-
ment of Public Properties; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to seventy-four potential suppliers
and fifteen bids were received; and
WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the Federal Revenue
Sharing Funds; and
WHEREAS, this equipment will be used by the Department of Public
Properties for the use by the City Motor Pool and the Police Department;and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Public Properties
recommend that the bids received from Northside Motors, Pincher Motors,
Regency Motors, Crane Bros. Motors and Honda North be accepted as the most
advantageous bids to the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION Or THE CITY Or MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The following bids of February 8, 1977 for furnishing
automotive vehicles for the Department of Public Properties are hereby
accepted with funds hereby allocated from the Federal Revenue Sharing Fund:
