RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID FROM DUNAN BRICK YARDS
FOR FURNISHING 17,000 ARCHITECTURAL PAVERS FOR THE
DEPARTMENT or PARKS AND RECREATION At A TOTAL COST of
$12,770.00; ALLOCATING rumns FROM THE BAYFRONT PARK
FEDERAL GRANT AND THE PARKS FOR PEOPLE BOND FUND;
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT
THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ISSUE THE PURCHASE ORDER FOR
THIS MATERIAL.
WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were
received January 28, 1977 For the furnishing of 17,000 archi-
tectural pavers for the Department of Parks and Recreation; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to thirty-two potential
suppliers and three bids were received; and
WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the
Bayfront Park Federal Grant and the Parks for People Bond
Fund; and
WHEREAS, these materials will be used by the Department
of Parks and Recreation for the purpose of paving the walks
at Bayfront Park; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Parks and
Recreation reommend that the bid received from Dunan Brick Yards
be accepted as the most advantageous bid to the City;
NOIJ, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MAIMI, FLORIDA;
Section 1. The January 28, 1977 bid of Dunan Brick Yards
for furnishing 17,000 architectural pavers at a total cost
of $12,770.00 is hereby accepted with funds hereby allocated
from the Bayfront Park Federal Grant and the Parks for People
Bond Fund.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to
instruct the Purchasing Agent to issue the Purchase e

Pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were received
January 28, 1977 for furnishing 17,000 architectural
pavers for the Parks and Recreation Department.
tnvitations were mailed to J;jiLrty-t A potential suppliers
and three bids were received as per the attached tabula
tion.
Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from the
Bayfront Park Federal Grant and the Parks for People
Bond Fund.
These pavers will be a part of the first phase improve-
ments of Bayfront Park and match the pattern set in
the Bicentennial Park.
It is requested that the award be made and a resolu-
tion be prepared accepting the most advantageous bid
as received from Dunan Brick Yards for furnishing
17,000 architectural pavers at a total cost of
$12,770.00.
The Department of Parks and Recreation concurs with
this recommendation.

BID EVALUATION:
The specifications as submitted by Monnah Park
Block Company were not acceptable. The remain-
ing two bidders meet specifications.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: These pavers will be a part of.the first phase
improvements on Bayfront Park and match the
pattern set in the Bicentennial Park.
RECOMMENDATION: IT IS RECOMMENDED THE BID BE AWARDED TO
DUNAN BRICK YARDS, THE LOWEST BIDDER.
