PURCHASE ORDER FOR THIS MATERIAL,
WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received
December 30, 1976 for the furnishing of 2,200 gallons of tennis
court pairit for the Department of Parks and Recreation; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to twenty-three potential
suppliers and eight bids were received; and
WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the Parks
for People Bond Fund; and
WHEREAS, this material will be used by the Department of
Parks and Recreation for the purpose of painting tennis and
basketball courts throughout the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Parks and
Recreation recommends that the bid received from Kel Glo Corp.
be accepted as the most advantageous bid to the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY or MIAAI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The December 30, 1976 bid of Kel Glo Corp. for
furnishing 2,200 gallons of tennis court paint at a total cost
of $10,440.00 is hereby accepted with funds hereby allocated
from the Parks for People Bond Fund.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to
instruct the Purchasing Agent to issue a Purchase Order for
this material.

Pursuant to Public Notice) sealed bids were received
December 30, 1976 for furnishing 2,200 gallons of
tennis court paint for the Department of Parks and
Recreation.
Invitations wore mailed to twenty-three potential
suppliers and eight bids were received as per the
attached tabulation.
Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from the
Parks for People Bond Fund.
Basketball courts as well as tennis courts are to be
painted to protect the asphalt From deterioration as
well as enhance the appearance of the courts.
It is requested that the award be made and a resolu-
tion be prepared acepting the most advantageous bid
as received from the Kel Gla Corporation for furnish-
ing 2,200 gallons of tennis court paint at a total
cost of $10,440.00.
The Department of Parka and Recreation concurs with
this recommendation.

Two bidders, Atlas Chemical and Stein Paint did
not meet specifications.
Basketball courts as well as tennis courts are to
be painted to protect the asphalt from deteriora-
tion as well es enhance the appearance of the
courts.
IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE AWARD BE MADE TO
KEL-CLO CORP, THE LOWEST BID.
The Department of Parks and Recreation concurs.
