A RESOLUTION AUTH0RI2ING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT W/TH A PROPESSIONAL
CONSULTING SERVICE P/RM TO ASSIST THE CITY
IN PREPARING STRATEGIES AND PRIoRITIES PoR
MARINA DEVELoPMENT,IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$15000; ALLOCATING FUNDS PROM THE 1976-77
COMMUNITY CV OMEN PUNDS,
WHEREAS, the City of Miami has under public contrOl
approximately fifteen (15) miles of waterfront; and
WHEREAS, the marine industry represents a major
portion of the City's economic base; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Planning Depart-
ment recommend that the City, in accordance with the Professional
Consultant Selection Procedures, seek the professional consulting
services of a firm to assist the City in preparing strategies and
priorities for marina development;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized
to enter into an agreement with a professional consulting service
firm to assist the City in preparing strategies and priorities for
marina development, in an amount not to exceed $15 000, with funds
therefor hereby allocated from the 1976-77 Community Development
Funds.
