THE DOWNTOWN GOVERNMENT (°ENTER, '
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City
and Metropolitan community that the Downtown area of Miatni be
revitalized; and
•
WHEREAS, the central location of various govern-
mental agencies is a vital aspect of this effort;
NOW, THEREFORE, $E IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City reaffirms its support for
building the Federal Reserve Bank in the Downtown Government
Center and will continue to work in concert with other govern-
mental agencies, including the County, the Off -Street Parking
Authority, the Downtown Development Authority and the New World
Center Action Committee to encourage the Federal Reserve Board
to establish its headquarters in the Downtown area.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of February, 1977.
