RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
AN AGREEMENT WITH THE LOWE ART MUSEUM, A NON-PROFIT
ORGANIZATION, AMENDING THE AGREEMENT APPROVED BY CITY
OF'MIAMI RESOLUTION NO. 76=1110, BY INCREASING THE
AMOUNT OF COMPENSATION FOR THREE (3) CETA PUBLIC SER.,
VICE 'EMPLOYMENT POSITIONS TO A RATE NOT TO EXCEED
$2,603.33 PER MONTH, INCLUDING 10% FOR SOCIAL SECURITY
AND OTHER FRINGE BENEFITS, WITH FUNDING THEREFORE TO
BE RECEIVED BY THE CITY or MIAMI UNDER AN AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY AND METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY, AS AGENT
FOR THE MANPOWER PLANNING CONSORTIUM; SAID EMPLOYMENT
TO RUN FROM JANUARY 31,1977, TO SEPTEMBER 30, 1977.
WHEREAS, The Lowe Art Museum, a non-profit organization, and the City
of Miami, have entered into an agreement pursuant to City Resolution
No. 76-1110 for the purpose of sub -contracting three (3) CETA Public Service
Employment positions; and
WHEREAS, The Lowe Art Museum has requested the City of Miami to provide
an increase in the amount of compensation for the aforementioned positions
in order to offer a salary commensurate with the duties of the positions;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agree-
ment with The Lowe Art Museum, a non-profit organization, amending the agree-
ment approved by the City of Miami Resolution No. 76-1110 by increasing the
amount of compensation for three (3) CETA Public Service Employment positions
to a rate not to exceed $2,603.33 per month, including 10% for Social Security
and other fringe benefits, with funding therefor to be received by the City
of Miami under an agreement between the City and Metropolitan Dade County, as
agent for the Manpower Planning Consortium; said employment period to run from
January 31, 1977, to September 30, 1977.

Enclosed is a draft resolution amending Resolution No. 76.1110, authorizing you
to enter into an agreement with the Lowe Art Museum for three CETA positions.
The amendment takes the form of an increase in the monthly rate for these three
positions.
We have found that The Lowe Art Museum has been unable to find someone to accept
the Secretarial position at the salary offered. Therefore, we have increased the
total amount by $220.00 per month, which represents the necessary increase.
In addition, this will bring the salary of this position in line with the City
of Miami's Civil Service position of Administrative Secretary (Trainee).
