In ORDINANCE NO. 6945, AS AMENDED, BY REPEAL-
ING SAID SECTION 5 IN ITS ENTIRETY, REPEALING
ALL OTkE R ORDmtiCES OR PARTS T8EREOV IN COi
FLICT HEREWITH.
WI4Ei?EAS, the Civil Service Board at its meeting on Janu-
ary 4, 1977, unanimously approved an amendment to the City of
Miami Rules and Regulations which repeals Section 5 of Rule
VIII, which states:
"Section 5. Department Preference: Any City
employee who has permanent status in a classi-
fication and who competes in any competitive
examination for a position in his own department
shall be given a departmental preference of ten
points to be added to his earned score."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Rule VIII, Section 5, of the Civil Service Rules
and Regulations of the City of Miami, Florida, effective Dec-
ember 15, 1961, as amended, as contained in Ordinance No. 6945,
as amended, is hereby repealed in its entirety.
Section 2. All other ordinances or parts of ordinances,
insofar as they are inconsistent or in conflict with the provisions
of this ordinance, are hereby repealed.
