AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the citizens of the City of Miami require attendance
in Tallahassee of a representative to properly acquaint the
legislative delegation at the legislative sessions in Tallahassee,
Florida, with the legislation proposed by the City of Miami and
legislation that will affect the City of Miami;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED SY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA
Section 1. The City Manager be and he is hereby authorized
and directed to enter into an agreement with MR. RICK SISSER to
serve as Legislative Liaison Representative on behalf of the
City of Miami at all Florida State Legislative Sessions held
during the term of the said agreement and before any Committees
of the Legislature that may meet from time to time during the term
of the said agreement to propose legislation on behalf of the City
and to oppose legislation to which the City objects and to perform
such other legislative services at said sessions that the City
Commission shall direct in order that the citizens of the City of

WHtREAS, Pursuant to Resolution No. 76-125, the City
Commission has authorized and directed the City Manager and the
City Clerk to enter into an agreement for services with RICK
SISSER, for a period of one year;
WHEREAS, the Representative has agreed to act in the capacity
of Legislative Liaison Representative, acting on behalf of the
City of Miami, at all Florida State Legislature sessions held
during the term of this agreement and before any committees of
the State Legislature that may meet from time to time during the
term of this agreement to propose legislation on behalf of the
City and/or to oppose legislation to which the City objects, and
to perform such other legislative services at their sessions that
the City Commission Shall direct in order that the citizens of
Miami might be properly represented; and
WHEREAS, they Representative has agreed to perform the
services in accordance :with the policies, rules, regulations,
control and direction of the City of Miami, Florida;

Legislature sessions held during the terra of the agrees etit, and

may meet from time to time during the tern of this agreement,
that the Representative shall propose legislation on behalf o.
the City and/or oppose legislation to which the City objects, and
the Representative shall perform such other legislative services
at said sessions of the Florida State Legislature that the City
Commission shall direct.
THE CITY AGREESt
(a) That in consideration of the performance of the afore-
mentioned services, the City shall compensate the Representative
in the amount of $12, 000.00, payable in four (4) monthly increments,
beginning on April 1, 1977 and terminating on or. about July 1,
1977, of $3,000 on each consecutive month, and further authorizing
the lump -sum payment of $3,000 to cover expenses incurred during
the term of the agreement.
(b) The City agrees that the chec3:s of these services shall
be mailed to the Representative at such address as the Representa-
tive may, in writing,- direct by letter to the Finance Director
of the City of ,Miami.
3. BOTH PARTIES AGREE:
(a) That all services to be performed by ti e Representative

(b) That this agreement may be cancelled by either party
hereto, subject to giving thirty (30) days written notice of
intention to cancel this agreement,
