ANCE OP THE CURRENT CONTRACT TO FEBRUARY S FOLLOW" WHEREAS, the City of Miami operates a Third Century "Greens" Program pursuant to City Resolution No. 76-148; and WHEREAS, the City of Miami has received approval ndthe aforementioned program through February 28, 1977; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF 1TY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: The City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Metropolitan Dade County, through the Manpower Planning Consortium of Dade and Monroe Counties, for implementation of the City's Third Century Greens Program amending the agreement approved by City of Miami Resolution No. 76-148 by extending the time of performance of the current contract to February 28, 1977. January 12 6uLI 1 t, fi: Proposed resolution to, extend Third Century Greens Program, rkcLosURt Enclosed is a proposed resolution authorizing the City Manger to extend the Third Century Greens Program through February 28, 1977. The program has been utilizing a $93,000 allocation under Title X of the Public Vorks and Economic Development Act of 1965 for land- soaping and beautifying the area between Bicentennial Park and 1-395. Nineteen individuals have been employed to carry out the field work involved. The period covered by the original agreement with the Manpower Planning Consortium of Dade and Monroe Counties is February 1 through August 31, 1976. Subsequently, approval was received to extend the time of performance through February 28, 1977. The proposed resolu- tion is needed in order to incorporate the extension into the agree- ment through a contract amendment Therefore, it is appropriate for the City Commission to authorize the Cit Manager to enter into the proposed agreement.
