ZB 124-76 & ZB 125-76 Dated July 12, 1976 • .try, tb tb Dear Mr. Grassie: We enclose a copy of a letter received from the Department of Administration, Planning & Zoning Boards dated July 28, 1976, and the two captioned resolu- tions. We did not respond to the above for we fully intended we would be underway with permit and construction well before the expiration date, January 12, 1977. As you know the entire OMNI and Plaza Venetia area has had very extensive construction by the State D.O.T. as well as the City of Miami Public Works Department; in that Bayshore Drive, N.E. 15th Street (Venetian Causeway) and verious other ancillary streets are being raised an average of 32" from their present grade. These works commenced in the first half of 1976 and I am told by the contractors that they will continue probably for an additional 180 days before they reach conclusion. Therefore, in accordance with the provision, we respectfully request an extension of time for one year by the City Manager with approval by the City Commission, be granted. We fully intend to proceed with construction of the project as soon as possi- ble. Although we do not expect to fully use a one year extension, we could breathe easier if the full year were granted. We would be deeply appreciative of an affirmative reply to our request. Most sincerely, FI,ORI A EAST COAST PROPERTIES, INC.
