FOR FURNISHING A BACKHOE ON A RENTAL BASIS FOR 8 MONTHS FOR THE DEPART- MENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION AT A TOTAL COST OF $7,160; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM TITLE Xi BAYFRONT PARK FUND; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ISSUE THE PURCHASE ORDER FOR THIS EQUIPMENT. WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids re received December 7, 1976 for the furnishing of a backhoe on a rental basis for 8 months for Recreation; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to 45 potential. suppliers and 5 bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in TITLE X, BAYFRONT PARK FUND; and WHEREAS, this equipment will be used by the Department of Parks and Recreation for the purpose of completing work at BAYFRONT PARK; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Parks and Recreation Ferguson, Inc. be accepted as it is the most advantageous bid to the City; the Department of Parks and recommend that the bid received from Massey NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED"DOCUMENT BY THE D O C U �JI E f� T ISSION INDEX OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: ATNA0Section 1. The December 7, ot massey Ferguson, Inc. in the amount of $7,160 for the rental of one Model MF50A backhoe for 8 months at a monthly rate of $895 is hereby accepted with funds therefor hereby allocated from TITLE X, BAYFRONT PARK FUND.
