RESOLUTION APPROVING AND RATIFYING THE
ISSUANCE OF A PERMIT TO BOY SCOUT TROUP 40
FO 2 AMUSEMENT RIDES AT DIXIE PARK, 1328 NW
AVENUE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH ITS CARNIVAL
HELD ON DECEMBER 22 THRU 26, 1976, SUBJECT
TO CERTAIN TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OP
AMI;, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The issuance of a permit to BOY SCOUT
TROUP 40 for amusement rides at DIXIE PARK, 1328 NW 3 Avenue,
in conjunction with its carnival held on December 22 thru 26,
1976, subject to certain terms and conditions, is hereby
approved and ratified.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of January, 1977.

',Mete two requests to hold carnivals before the January 13, 1977 City
1C6tilfiission meeting. One carnival was sponsored by Boy Scout Troop 40
'`(Bt+ John's Baptist Church) and was held at Dixie Park from December
22 - 26, 1976. The first notice received by the administration was on
becember 20, 1976. Normally, four ,peeks advance notice is required by
the Building Department. The sec' ,equest was made on December 27,
1976, by the Church of the Open Do to hold a carnival at Biscayne
Plaza (Biscayne Blvd at NW 79th St.) from January 5 - 9, 1977.
Both requests were approved and necessary licenses and permits issued,
the City Commission having been polled by telephone for its approval.
In order to properly complete the formal process of securing Commission
approval for these two events, it is necessary to place two resolutions
on the January 13, 1977 agenda to enable the Commission to formalize its
informal decisions on both carnival permit requests.
