A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
to ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE DADE
COUNTY NATIONAL FOUNDATION MARCH OF DIMES,
A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION► AMENDING THE
AGREEMENT APPROVED BY CITY OF MIAMI RESOLU-
TION NO. 76-1111, BY INCREASING THE AMOUNT
OP COMPENSATION FOR ONE (1) C.E.T.A. PUBLIC
SERVICE EMPLOYMENT POSITION TO A RATE NOT
TO EXCEED $830 PER MONTH, INCLUDING 10% FOR
SOCIAL SFCURITv AND OTHER FRINGE BENEFITS,
WITH FUNDING THEREFOR TO BE RECEIVED BY THE
CITY OF MIAMI UNDER AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CITY AND METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY, AS AGENT

WHEREAS, the Dade County National Foundation March of
Danes, a non-profit organization, and the City of Miami have
entered into an agreement pursuant to City Resolution No.
one (1) C.E.T.A.
76-1111 for the purpose of subcontracting
public service employment position; and

WHEREAS, the Dade County National Foundation March of

ENCLOSURES: Otte (1)
Enclosed is a proposed resolution authorizing the City Manager to
enter into an agreement with the Dade County National Foundation
March of Dimes amending the agreement approved through City
Resolution No. 76-1111. The existing agreement provides one (1)
CETA Public Service Employment position to the March of Dimes at
a monthly rate not to exceed $731 per month including social
security and other fringe benefits. The proposed amendment would
increase the rate of compensation to $880 per month including
social security and other fringe benefits.
The March of Dines has requested the proposed increase in order
to be able to offer a salary commensurate with the newly developed
duties of the position (Latin Coordinator) .
Therefore, it is appropriate for the City Commission to adopt the
proposed resolution.
