RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
0 AMEND AN AGREEMENT WITH THE BELAFONTE-
TACOLCY CENTER, A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION,
FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBCONTRACTING ONE (1)
C.E.T.A. PUBLIC SERVICE EMPLOYMENT POSITION
TO BE FUNDED THROUGH C.E.T.A. ALLOCATION OF
FUNDS AT A RATE NOT f0 EXCEED $653 PER MONTH,
INCLUDING 10% FOR SOCIAL SECURITY AND OTHER
FRINGE BENEFITS, TO BE RECEIVED BY THE CITY
OF MIAMI UNDER AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND
METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY, AS AGENT FOR MANPOWER
PLANNING CONSORTIUM; SAID AMENDMENT AUTHORIZING
THE PERIOD OF THE AFORESAID EMPLOYMENT TO BE
EXTENDED FROM JANUARY 3, 1977 TO SEPTEMBER 30,
1977.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami operates public service
tynent programs under Comprehensive Employment and Training

WHEREAS, the BELAFONTE-TACOLCY CENTER, a nonprofit
organization, has requested the City of Miami to amend an agree-
ment for one (1) C.E.T.A. public service employment position
authorized through City Resolution No. 76-1003 in order to provide
continuous service to City of Miami residents;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
amend an agreement with THE BELAFONTE-TACOLCY CENTER, a nonprofit
organization, for the purpose of subcontracting one (1) C.E.T.A.
:ot'of 1973 (C.E.T.A.), as amended; and
public service employment position to be funded through C.E.T.A.
allocation of funds at a rate not to exceed $653 per month, includ-
ing 10% for social security and other fringe benefits, to be
received by the City of Miami under an agreement between the City
and Metropolitan Dade County, as agent for the Manpower Planning
Consortium; said amendment authorizing the period of the aforesaid
employment to be extended from January 3, 1977 to September 30,
1977.
