7 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH URBAN LEAGUE
OE GREATER MIAMI, INC., A NON-PROFIT ORGANI-
ZATION, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBCONTRACTING
THREE (3) C.E.T.A. PUBLIC SERVICE EMPLOYMENT
POSITIONS, FOR THE PERIOD BETWEEN JANUARY 3,
1977 AND SEPTEMBER 30, 1977, TO BE FUNDED
THROUGH A C.E.T.A. ALLOCATION AT A RATE NOT
TO EXCEED $2,750 PER MONTH, IMCLUDING 10% FOR
SOCIAL SECURITY AND OTHER FRINGE BENEFITS, TO
BE RECEIVED BY THE CITY OF MIAMI UNDER AGREE-

FOLLOW„
WHEREAS, the City of Miami operates public service employ-
ment programs under the Comprehensive Employment and Training
Act of 1973 (C.E.T.A.), as amended; and
WHEREAS, URBAN LEAGUE OF GREATER MIAMI, INC., a non-profit
organization, has requested the City of Miami to provide to it
certain public service employment positions in order to enhance
services to City of Miami residents;

Section 1. The City Manager is hereby autiorize'TEM NPen

into an agreement with URBAN LEAGUE OF GREATER MIAMI, INC., a
non-profit organization, for the purpose of subcontracting
three (3) C.E.T.A. public service employment positions, for the
period between January 3, 1977 and September 30, 1977, to be
funded through a C.E.T.A. allocation at a rate not to exceed
$2,750 per month, including 10% for Social Security and other
fringe benefits, to be received by the City of Miami under an
agreement between the City and Metropolitan Dade County, as

Proposed resolutions for CETA
positions for non-profit
organizations
Enclosed are two proposed resolutions authorizing the City Manager
to enter into agreements with the local non-profit organizations
listed below:
. Urban League of Greater Miami, Inc., for three (3)
CETA positions.
. United Cerebral Palsy, Inc., for three (3) CETA
positions.
The proposed resolutions have been negotiated with the above
agencies and funds have been identified for the effective period
of the agreements January 3, 1977 to September 30, 1977.
Therefore, it is appropriate for the City Commission to authorize the
proposed agreement.
