Prior to that I was the Historical Resources and Cultural Arts Director. In that capacity I worked very closely with Catherine Cathers and have known her for fifteen years. She is the Arts and Culture Specialist for the City of Coral Gables and staffs the Coral Gables Cultural Development Boards and Arts Advisory Panel. She managers the Art in Public Places Program and is the Administrator for the Cultural Grants Program for the City. It is because of Catherine that the City of Coral Gables has received event recognition by Art Basel since 2016. She has also been recognized by the City as Employee of the Month. She is the ultimate multitasker and was a pleasure to work with. She is extremely competent — organized, passionate and knowledgeable about art. Now, as a resident of Coral Gables, I eagerly watch for the latest art acquisitions knowing that Catherine has it all under control. She's wonderful with the residents and the elected officials which is sometimes not easy. In summary, I highly recommend Catherine Cathers for the City of Miami Art in Public Places Board. She will definitely be a valuable asset to the Board and I am proud to call her my friend. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, Qb?aTh1. Dona M. Given all the hurdles involved I am constantly in awe of her ability to efficiently move challenging projects forward with immense respect for all parties and budgets.
