Therefore, there is no average daily gallonage increase, resulting in no additional water and sewer connection charges. However, water and sewer connection charges shall be calculated at the rates in effect at the time of actual connection to the COUNTY'S water and sewer systems. The water and sewer connection charge rates are subject to revision by the Board of County Commissioners at any time. The DEPARTMENT'S current connection charge rates are one dollar and thirty-nine cents ($1.39) and five dollars and sixty cents ($5.60) per gallon per day for water and sewer, respectively. WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") intends to construct a one thousand six hundred twenty-two (1,622) square foot community center for Woodside Park("Project"), located at 3701 Southwest First Avenue ("Property") as part of Office of Capital Improvements Project Number 40-6193517; and WHEREAS, as part of the Project, the City intends to connect the community center to the Miami -Dade Water and Sewer Department's ("WASD") system that provides water and sewer services for the City at the Property; and WHEREAS, the intended connection of the community center represents an average daily gallonage of one hundred sixty-two (162) gallons, replacing one (1) duplex, previously connected to WASD's systems, representing an average daily gallonage credit of three hundred (300) gallons, resulting in no average daily gallonage increase, and no additional water and sewer connection charges; and WHEREAS, the City will pay WASD an amount not to exceed zero dollars and no cents ($00,000.00) for the combined water and sewer connection charges for the Project at the Property from Capital Project Number 40- B193517; and WHEREAS, the City Manager requests authorization to execute an agreement, in substantially the attached form, with WASD for water and sanitary sewer services for the Property; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to execute an agreement, in substantially the attached form, with WASD for the provision of water and sanitary sewer services for the Project at the Property. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption. 1 The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all legal requirements that may be imposed, including but not limited to, those prescribed by applicable City Charter and City Code provisions.
