A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION WAIVING THE FOUR (4)
EVENTS FOR A MAXIMUM OF SEVEN (7) DAYS PER EVENT ON THE SAME
PRIVATE PROPERTY PURSUANT CHAPTER 52/ARTICLE I OF THE CODE
OF CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, TITLED, "SPECIAL
EVENTS/SPECIAL EVENTS PERMIT," FOR THE PADEL X EVENT BEING
HELD AT 1361 NORTHEAST 1 AVENUE FROM JANUARY 28, 2026,
THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2026.

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 52-2(g) of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as
amended ("City Code"), titled "Special Events in General; Duration and Limitations; City
Commission Waiver," Special Events on private property are limited to four events per year for a
maximum of seven days for each event permit; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 52-2(i), "The above limitations on Special Events may
be waived by an affirmative vote of the City Commission for the calendar year affected. Any
such additional Permit(s), however, will be limited to fourteen (14) consecutive days at a time;
and
WHEREAS, Padel X ("Event") has been located at 1361 Northeast 1 Avenue ("Event
Site") for over a year and has drawn people from all over Miami as well as other parts of the
country to participate in padel events there; and
WHEREAS, The Event has turned an unused vacant lot into a vibrant center for sporting
activities; and
WHEREAS, the Event has continued to operate in compliance with all other past
resolutions of this Commission as well as in compliance with the City Code; and
WHEREAS, the Event is required to comply with all applicable City and State laws
including, but not limited to, building, zoning and noise codes; and
WHEREAS, the Event has been and will continue to be beneficial to the City of Miami
and is residents, businesses and visitors;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Pursuant to Section 52-2(i) of the City Code, titled "Special Events in
General; Duration and Limitations; City Commission Waiver," the four (4) event for seven (7)

days each limitation per private property pursuant to Section 52-2(g) of the City Code is hereby
waived to allow the Event at the Event Site from January 28, 2026, through December 31, 2026.
Section 3. This Resolution does not waive any other requirements of the City Code,
including but not limited to, noise restrictions, applicable fees, inspections, permits nor the
requirement to renew the Special Event Permit every fourteen (14) days.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
