Re: Miami Dade County Commissioner Vicki Lopez Appointment
This memorandum is to formally advise the City of Miami ("City") Commission of County
Commissioner Vicki Lopez's appointment by the Miami -Dade County Board of County
Commissioners to serve as the County's representative on the Downtown Development
Authority of the City of Miami, Florida ("Downtown Development Authority").
At the Miami -Dade County Board of County Commissioners meeting held on December
16, 2025, the Board approved a motion by Chairman Anthony Rodriguez appointing
Commissioner Vicki Lopez to the Downtown Development Authority.
On behalf of the Miami Downtown Development Authority, we respectfully request that
confirmation of County Commissioner Vicki Lopez's appointment be placed on the City
agenda and heard at the January 8, 2026, City Commission meeting.

Assistant County Attorney: Melanie Spencer
Chairman Rodriguez moves to appoint Commissioner Lopez as this
Board's appointment to the Downtown Development Authority.
Additionally, Chairman Rodriguez moves to appoint Commissioner
Lopez to the Miami Beach Community Redevelopment Agency as the
County's taxing authority representative pursuant to section 163.357,
Florida Statutes, and the interlocal cooperation agreement between
the County, the City of Miami Beach and the CRA.
