PROPOSED BENEFITS FOR JAMES REYES

Salary
$475,000.00 annual salary payable biweekly — to remain in
effect until changed by the City Commission - with 5%
annual increases every October 1.
Car Allowance
No car allowance will be provided. The City will provide
a City vehicle.
Cellular Phone Allowance
City issued phone

Accidental Death &
Dismemberment Insurance
Long Term/Short Term Disability
Insurance
City paid premium for 2X Annual Salary.
City paid premium for 2X Annual Salary.
City pays 100% of premium.
Executive Physical
One annual physical.
LEAVE TIME

Holidays
20 days per year with a maximum of 15 days
to be taken consecutively.
12 days per year.
11 days per year.
Upon separation, the City Manager shall
receive payment of any unused vacation and
sick leave.
SEVERANCE
The City Manager may be removed pursuant to the process
set forth in the City Charter. If the City Manager is removed
without cause, he shall receive a fixed sum of compensation
and forbearance in an amount equivalent to five (5) month's
salary and benefits unless otherwise limited by state statute
to a lesser amount and upon a written release in favor of the
City. The City Manager shall not receive any severance if
he is terminated for cause, including but not limited to,

misconduct, neglect of duty, misfeasance, or malfeasance or
if he voluntarily resigns.
PENSION
The City Manager shall participate in the retirement plan as
provided under Section 40-351(1)(d) of the City Code. The
City shall contribute at the rate of 20% of the City
Manager's annual salary.
COLA
The City Manager shall not receive any COLAs granted to
the members of the classified or unclassified service.

It is my pleasure to extend to you a conditional offer of employm- for the Executive, Unclassified
position of City Manager for the City of Miami. This offer is conti ' nt upon successful completion of
the City of Miami's medical examination and background inv• gation process (including, but not
limited to a criminal records check, verification of educatio d/or employment, etc.). This offer is
also contingent on City of Miami Commission approval and fying all other requirements in the City
Charter and City Code, as may be applicable.
