Wysong III, City Attorney U x. wy,°' " DATE: February 4, 2026 RE: Resolution No. R-26-0002 — Execute - Interlocal Agreement - Medical Direction Services - Fire Rescue File No. 18628 At its January 8, 2026, meeting, the City Commission adopted the above -referenced agenda item, CA.2, authorizing the City Manager to execute an Interlocal Agreement for the provision of Medical Direction Services for the Department of Fire Rescue ("Fire"), with the Public Health Trust of Miami -Dade County, Florida, an agency and instrumentality of Miami - Dade County ("Health Trust") for a period of five (5) years with one (1) option to renew for one additional two (2) year period; allocating funds from Fire Account Code 00001.181000.531000.0000.00000, subject to the availability of funds and budgetary approval at the time of need; further authorizing the City Manager to negotiate and execute any and all documents, including any amendments, renewals, and extensions subject to all allocations, appropriations, prior budgetary approvals, compliance with applicable provisions of the Code of the City Of Miami, Florida, as amended ("City Code"), including, the City Of Miami's Procurement Ordinance, Anti -Deficiency Act, And Financial Integrity Principles, all as set forth in Chapter 18 of the City Code, all in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, and in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations, as may be deemed necessary for said purpose. The Legislation inadvertently contained a scrivener's error regarding the effective date. The Legislation has been corrected and incremented to Revision A. Funds to be allocated from Fire Account Fund Code 00001.181000.531000.0000.00000, subject to the availability of funds and budgetary approval at the time of need. Section 4. The City Manager is further authorized' to negotiate and execute any and all documents, including any amendments, renewals, and extensions, subject to all allocations, appropriations, and budgetary approvals having been previously made, compliance with applicable provisions of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended ("City Code"), including, the City of Miami's Procurement Ordinance, Anti -Deficiency Act, and Financial Integrity Principles, all as set forth in Chapter 18 of the City Code, all in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, and in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations, as may be deemed necessary for said purpose.
