Staff Report and Business Impact Statement
Chapter 62-1 2 Fees
Purpose:
This ordinance amends Chapter 62-12 of the City of Miami Code to enhance clarity and transparency in
the fee schedule. It also makes necessary adjustments to the zoning permit fees as established in
Ordinance 13114, known as the "Miami 21 Code," the City's Zoning Ordinance.
Estimated Direct Economic Impact:
• No direct compliance cost is associated with the amendment.
• It is anticipated that this amendment will have a net positive impact on City's revenues.
Estimated Number of Businesses to be Impacted:
• The estimated number of businesses to be impacted by this amendment cannot be determined
due to the ambiguities created by the nature of the amendment.
• All applicants filing for a Building Permit and/or Special Permit (Warrant, Waiver, Exception,
Variance, ASPR, etc.) through the Planning Depait,ment and Office of Zoning will be impacted.
Additional Information:
The City wishes to have expenses incurred by specialized zoning permit applications covered by fees
paid by applicants rather than being subsidized by the City's general fund.
