AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE DESIGN -BUILD AGREEMENT FOR
DESIGN/BUILD SERVICES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT
OF SINGLE-FAMILY HOMES OR TWIN HOMES ON
MIAMI OWNED VACANT LAND
RFP NO. HCD 2024-01
This First Amendment to the Design -Build Agreement for Design/Build Services for the
Development of Single -Family Homes or Twin Homes on City of Miami Owned Vacant Land
RFP No. HCD 2024-01 ("Amendment") is entered into the 1 day of Au U 5 f , 2025
between the City of Miami, a municipal corporation of the State of Florida `City") and Cazo
Construction, Corp., a Florida profit corporation ("Contractor").
RECITALS
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. R-25-0110 adopted on March 13, 2025, the City
Commission accepted a proposal received July 15, 2024 pursuant to RFP No. HCD 2024-01 from
Contractor, for the development of two twin -homes located at 3431 NW 6 Avenue and 1465 NW
60 Street, ("Project"); and
WHEREAS, the City and Contractor entered into the Design -Build Agreement for
Design/Build Services for the Development of Single -Family Homes and Twin Homes on City of
Miami Vacant Land RFP No. HCD 2024-01 ("Agreement") for the completion of the Project; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. R-25-0313 adopted on July 24, 2025, the City
agrees to replace the Project site located at 3431 NW 6 Avenue with the property located at 1755
NW 2 Court; and
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration for the covenants set forth herein and for other
good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged,
the parties hereto agree as follows:-
1. All of the above recitals are true and correct in all respects and are incorporated by
reference herein as though set forth in full herein.
2. Section 4- of the Agreement is amended as follows:

Amended Exhibit B - Approved Scope of Work and Price Schedule
Exhibit C - RFP No. HCD 2024-01
Exhibit D — Contractor's Submittal
Amended Exhibit E — Project Site(s)
Exhibit F — Form of Payment and Performance Bonds
Exhibit G — Corporate Resolution
Exhibit H — Project Specifications
Exhibit I — Shop Drawings
Exhibit J —Project Critical Path Schedule
Exhibit K — Anti -Human Trafficking Affidavit
3. Exhibit `B" of the Agreement is replaced with Amended Exhibit `B" attached and
incorporated in this Amendment.
4. Exhibit "E" of the Agreement is replaced with Amended Exhibit "E" attached and
incorporated in this Amendment. i
5. Except as modified herein, all other terms and conditions of the Agreement shall remain
unmodified and in full force and effect.
6. This Amendment may be executed in any number of counterparts, each of which so
executed shall be deemed to be an original, and such counterparts shall together
constitute but one and the same Amendment. The parties shall be entitled to sign and
transmit an electronic signature of this Amendment (whether by facsimile, PDF or other
email transmission), which signature shall be binding on the party whose name is
contained therein. Any party providing an electronic signature agrees to promptly
execute and deliver to the other parties an original signed Amendment upon request.
7. This Amendment may not be amended, suspended, superseded or otherwise modified
except by a written instrument, expressly identifying the modifications made and
signed by the authorized representative of each of the parties.
