WHEREAS, pursuant to Part III, Chapter 163, Florida Statues, there was created by action of Miami -Dade County ("County") and the City of Miami ("City") the Midtown Community Redevelopment Agency ("Midtown CRA") within the boundary limits of the City; and WHEREAS, the City Commission also serves as the governing body of the Midtown CRA and the City and Midtown CRA entered into an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with the County in 2005 outlining each party's responsibility with respect to the redevelopment of the Midtown CRA Redevelopment Area; and WHEREAS, over the years, the City and the Midtown CRA have entered into various agreements regarding specific services; and WHEREAS, the CRA and the Midtown City desire, through an Interlocal Agreement, to authorize the City Manager or designee to aid the Midtown CRA with administrative support, until an Executive Director of the Midtown CRA is appointed; and WHEREAS, should the City incur any fees or costs associated with the administrative support, the Midtown CRA shall reimburse the City; and WHEREAS, on November 20, 2025, the Midtown CRA adopted Resolution No. MCRA- R-25-0004, authorizing an Interlocal Agreement with the Midtown CRA for the administrative support of the City Manager, or designee, as stated herein; and WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that authorizing this Resolution is in the best interests of the City and its residents; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble of this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. An Interlocal Agreement, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, to allow for the City Manager, or designee to provide administrative support services to the Midtown CRA, until an Executive Director of the Midtown CRA is appointed, is hereby authorized.' Section 3. The City Manager or designee is hereby authorized' to negotiate and execute an Interlocal Agreement, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, and do all things necessary to effectuate this resolution. Section 4. The City shall be reimbursed by the Midtown CRA any fees or costs associated with the City Manager or designee providing said administrative support to the Midtown CRA. Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
