A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION APPOINTING BAYFRONT
PARK MANAGEMENT TRUST ("TRUST") MEMBER HORACIO STUART AGUIRRE
AS VICE CHAIRPERSON OF THE TRUST; FURTHER APPOINTING TRUST
MEMBER ANA MATOS AS TREASURER OF THE TRUST.
WHEREAS, the Bayfront Park Management Trust ("Trust") was established pursuant to
Ordinance No. 10348 as a limited agency and instrumentality of the City of Miami ("City"); and
WHEREAS, the Trust is tasked with directing, operating, managing, and maintaining all
aspects of the City -owned properties known as Bayfront Park and Maurice A. Ferre Park for the
purposes of ensuring maximum community utilization and enjoyment; and
WHEREAS, Section 38-103(a)(4) of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended
("City Code"), provides that the City Commission shall appoint all other officers, including a
secretary, from among the Trust's members; and
WHEREAS, on June 16, 2025, the Trust adopted a resolution seeking to appoint Board
Member Horacio Stuart Aguirre as Vice Chairperson of the Trust, subject to City Commission
approval; and
WHEREAS, July 10, 2025, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 14382,
providing for the abolishment of the Trust effective January 1, 2026; and
WHEREAS, on October 20, 2025, the Trust Board adopted a resolution seeking to
appoint Board Member Ana Matos as Treasurer of the Trust, subject to City Commission
approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Trust Board Member Horacio Stuart Aguirre is hereby appointed to serve as
Vice Chairperson of the Bayfront Park Management Trust for the remainder of his current term,
until a successor is duly appointed, or until the effective date of the Trust's abolishment,
whichever occurs first.
Section 3. Trust Board Member Ana Matos is hereby appointed to serve as Treasurer of
the Bayfront Park Management Trust for the remainder of her current term, until a successor is
duly appointed, or until the effective date of the Trust's abolishment, whichever occurs first.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
