Our work prevents displacement , preserves affordable homeownership,and ensures safe and healthy housing for vulnerable residents. To date, RTMD has rehabilitated over 1,600 homes and reinvested more than $22 million in value back into the community. The program focuses on emergency repairs, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and drywall, as well as tree trimming to prevent storm damage.These services help residents remain safe in their homes and reduce risks they cannot afford to address on their own. With this program, we strengthen housing resilience, protect vulnerable residents, and reduce future disaster recovery costs across low-income communities. Program Start Date: December 2025 Program End Date: December 2026 Please describe how this program/project and funding will alleviate poverty within the City of Miami? The Safe at Home and Tree Trimming program serves Miami's most vulnerable low-income homeowners, many of whom are seniors on fixed incomes, residents with disabilities, or legacy families struggling with the rising cost of living. By providing critical repairs and tree trimming at no cost, we remove the financial burden that often leads to unsafe living conditions, housing instability and displacement. Our work helps families preserve equity, remain safely in their homes, and maintain expendable income for basic needs, thereby strengthening household stability and breaking cycles of poverty within the City of Miami. IMPACT AND PERFORMANCE: Describe the overall expected outcomes and performance measures for this project/program. And, list the supporting documentation that will be submitted with the Close Out Report: This program will result in safer, healthier, and more resilient homes for low-income homeowners. Using our 25-point Safe and Healthy Housing checklist developed to address the 8 principles of safe and healthy housing created by HUD, we will measure improvements in safety, housing conditions, and financial stability. Expected outcomes include reduced hazards, lower utility costs, and increased homeowner well-being, verified through pre- and post -assessments and homeowner surveys. At close-out, we will submit before -and -after photos, completed assessments, homeowner testimonials,and a final summary of each scope of work and outcomes. Funded activities will include first -come. first -served emergency health and safety repairs. tree trimming in partnership with a licensed arborist as part of our disaster preparedness efforts. and targeted beautification projects.
