The Sadowski Act provided a dedicated revenue source for affordable housing and created the State Housing Initiative Partnership ("SHIP") Program. Pursuant to Section 420.9072(2)a of Florida Statute, a county or eligible municipality must submit to the corporation its local housing assistance plan describing the local housing assistance strategies to be eligible to receive funds under the program. The City's current LHAP will expire on June 30, 2025 and a new one is required for the continued participation in the SHIP program.
