HomeMy WebLinkAboutStaff Report and Business Impact StatementPlanning Department • E c� 0 • U Staff Report and Business Impact Statement Residential in Civic Institution Zoning TeAL Amendment Purpose: This Zoning Text Amendment would allow, by right, Co -Living and Multifamily Residential uses on properties with a Transect Zone of "Civic Institution" if that property is either: owned by a not -for -profit institution or a religious institution, as defined by Section 170.201(2), F.S; or contains an Elementary, Middle, or High School. The Amendment also clarifies that if a "CI" property qualifying as above does not have an abutting property that allows residential density, then the density will be considered as equivalent to T4. Estimated Direct Economic Impact: • No direct compliance cost to businesses is associated with this amendment. • The amendment would not create any new charges or fees for which a business would be responsible. • This amendment would not result in a change to the administrative costs associated with the enforcement of the City's land development regulations. Estimated Number of Businesses to be Impacted: This amendment would be affective citywide and would provide the opportunity for residential development as an allowance. Recommendation: Approval
