A RESOLUTION GRANTING A CONTINUATION OF THE VARIANCE
GRANTED BY CITY COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 73=889 FROM
ORDINANCE NO. 6871, ARTICLE XXIII, SECTION 4(8) TO
PERMIT CONSTRUCTION OF AN ADDITION TO HOSPITAL ON
TRACT "A", PAN AMERICAN HOSPITAL SUB (76-66), LOCATED
AT 5959 N.W. 7TH STREET, WAIVING 28 OF 274 REQUIRED
OFF-STREET PARKING SPACES FOR AN ADDITIONAL FIVE
YEARS, SUBJECT TO A REVIEW AT THE END OF FIVE YEARS;
SITE ZONED R-4 (MEDIUM DENSITY MULTIPLE) DISTRICT:
WHEREFORE, the City of Miami Building Departmenthas re-
viewed the variance and finds the operation to be satisfactory,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The request for a continuation of the variance
granted by City Commission Resolution 73-889 from Ordinance 68-71,
Article XXIII, Section 4(8), to permit construction of an addition
to hospital on Tract "A", PAN AMERICAN HOSPITAL SUB (76-66),
located at 5959 N.W. 7th Street, waiving 28 of 274 required off-
street parking spaces for an additional five years, subject to
a review at the end of five years, site zoned R-4 (Medium Density
Multiple) District, be and the same is hereby granted.

The City Commission adopted Resolution No. 73-889 on November 8, 1973,
which granted a Variance on Tract "A", PAN AMERICAN HOSPITAL SUB (76-66),
located at 5959 N.W. 7th Street, to permit construction of an addition
and waiving 28 of 274 required off-street parking spaces for a period
of one year from date of issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy. The
Certificate of Occupancy was issued on June 13, 1977.
Attached is a report from the Zoning Division of the Building Depart-
ment recommending the automatic renewal of this waiver.
It is suggested that this matter be placed on the City Commission
Agenda of June 22, 1978. A copy of this memo is being forwarded
to the City Attorneys office so that they may prepare the proper
Resolution.

The City Commission passed the above Resolution granting relief
from the requirements of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance, to
be automatically renewed each year for one year periods, until.
such time as the Commission shall rescind its waiver.

the intent Of the Resolution is being met, and return this form
to us, showing the results of the inspection below.
