A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE COMPLETED WORK
PERFORMED BY FRISA CORPORATION AT A TOTAL
COST OF $107 j 000 FOR THE VIRGINIA KEY
RUBBISH PIT CLOSING PHASE I; AND
AUTHORIZING A FINAL PAYMENT OF $10, 700
WHEREAS, there exists a contract dated March 27,
1978 between the City of Miami and Frisa Corporation; and
WHEREAS, the work has been satisfactorily completed,
and Frisa. Corporation has furnished the required documents
certi'yinr, that all bills for labor and materials have been
paid in full in connection with the aforesaid contract; and
WHEREAS, the City Manar;er and the Department of Public
P
Works recommend that the completed work be accepted and final
payment made to the contractor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The completed work performed by Frisa
Corporation for VIRGINIA KEY RUBBISH PIT CLOSING - PHASE I
at a total cost of $107,000 is hereby approved.
Section 2. The proper officials of the City of
Miami are hereby authorized to pay $10,700 to Frisa
Corporation as full and final payment for all work performed
and all materials furnished in connection with VIRGINIA KEY
RUBBISH PIT CLOSING - PHASE I.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22 day of JUNE

VIRGINIA KEG RUBBISH PIT
CLOSING PHASE I - 1978
Frisa Corporation has completed the pro,iect consisting
of excavating, hauling*, and stockpiling 100,000 cubic
yards of fill material from the northerly end of
Virginia Key to the City Dumn one mile south. The
original contract amount was for $107,000, and the
completed contract amount is $107,000, and it was
completed on time.
It is now in order for the Commission to accent the
completed work and authorize final payment, after all
conditions are met.
THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS RECOMMENDS THE ADOPTION
OF A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE COMPLETED WORK AND AUTHORIZ-
ING A FINAL PAYMENT OF $10,700 TO FRISA CORPORATION FOR

Frisa Corporation
Excavate, haul and stockpile 100,000 cubic yards of fill
material from the northerly end of Virginia Key to the
City Dump one mile south,
Dade County will pump in newly dredged bay bottom material
shortly into the area where this material has been removed.
Removed material is relatively free of salt and will be
used as top layer of fill when Dump is closed.
