A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING $462,000. OF COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT FUNDS PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED BY
ORDINANCE NO. 8807 ADOPTED MAY 31, 1978, TO
PREVIOUSLY APPROVED SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES
FOR THE CONTRACT PERIOD COMMENCING JULY 1,
1978 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1979; FURTHER AUTHOR-
IZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENTS
WITH SAID APPROVED SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 78-141, on February 23, 1978, authorized
the City Manager to enter into contracts or agreements to carry out the
Community Development Block Grant (4th year) grant program; and
WHEREAS, funds have previously been appropriated by Ordinance No.
8807 to accomplish this purpose;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA.
Section 1. $462,000. of Community Development Block Grant (4th
year) funds previously appropriated by Ordinance No. 8807, adopted May 31,
1978, are hereby allocated as specified below:

Section 24 The City Manager is heteby authorited to entef into
agreements with said social ser ice agencies for impieiiientation of theit
respective programs for the period commencing July 1j 1978 and ending
June 30, 1979.

Resolution
Attached please find a resolution allocating $462,000. in Fourth Year
Community Development Funds for social service agencies for the contract
period commencing July 1, 1978 and ending June 30, 1979.
The resolution also authorizes the City Manager to enter into agree-
ments with the identified agencies,
It is requested that the City Commissioner be asked to approve this
resolution on June 22, 1978, so that funding for these agencies will not be
interrupted.
