HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-78-0415to RESOLUTION NO. 7 $ ._.4_. 5 A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED BUDGET OF THE DEPARTMENT OF OFF.STREET PARKING OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 1978 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1979 WHEREAS, Section 507 of Bond Ordinance No.7414 adopted March 14, 1966 as amended by Ordinance No.7452 and Ordinance No.7517, requires that not later than the 15th day before the end of each fiscal year, the City Commission shall hold a public hearing on the proposed budget of the Department of Off- Street Parking of the City of Miami, at which any bondholder and any citizen or taxpayer and any other interested person may appear in person or by agent or attorney and present any objections he may have to the final adoption of such budget; and WHEREAS, at least ten (10) days before the hearing, notice of the time and place of such hearing shall be published once in a daily newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Miami, Florida, and copies of such notice and of such budget shall be mailed to each bondholder who shall have filed his name and address with the Department for such purpose: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF "DOCUMENT INDEX MIAMI, FLORIDA: T J Section 1. The Commission of the City of Miami, ridEN; N'a,'s ail hold a public hearing on the proposed budget for the Department of Off -Street Parking of the City of Miami, Florida for the fiscal year October 1, 1978 to September 30, 1979 as hereto attached, and said public hearing shall be held before the Commission of the City of Miami in the Commission Room, 1st floor, City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive, Dinner Key, Miami, Florida, at a meeting to be held at 2:30 p.m. on July 13, 1978. Section 2. The Off -Street Parking Board shall cause to be published a notice of the public hearing, as provided in Section 1 hereof, in accordance with the above described Bond Ordinances. The 1978/79 Budget for the Department of Off -Street Parking in the amount of $1,886,555 is hereby approved and adopted. Section 2. The Director is authorized to make transfers between the detailed accounts comprising any of the amounts appropriated in the budget, in order that available and unrequired balances in any such accounts may be used for other necessary and proper purposes. Section 3. The Director is authorized to create or abolish positions whenever it has been determined to be in the best interest of efficient and economical administration of the Department of Off -Street Parking.
