IN THE AMOUNT OF $4)400.00 FOR THE BASE BID FOR NEW FIRE STATION NO. 9 = BUILDINGS DEMOLITION; WITH FUNDS ALLOCATED FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "FIRE FIGHTING AND RESCUE FACILITIES BOND FUND" IN THE AMOUNT OF $4)400.00; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM WHEREAS, sealed bids were received May 9, 1978 for NEW FIRE STATION NO. 9 - BUILDINGS DEMOLITION; and WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $4,400.00 bid of Ben Hurwitz, Inc. for the Base Bid is the lowest responsible bid and recommends that a Contract be awarded to said firm; and WHEREAS, "unds for this project are to be allocated from the account entitled "Fire Fijhting and Rescue Facilities Bond Fund"; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the May 9, 1978 bid of Ben Hurwitz, Inc. in the proposed amount of $4,400.00 for the project entitled NEW FIRE STATION NO. 9 - BUILDINGS DEMOLITION for the Base Bid of the Proposal, based on a lump sum, is hereby accepted at the price stated therein to cover the cost of said Contract. Section 2. That the amount of $4,400.00 be, and it is hereby, allocated from the account entitled "Fire Fighting and Rescue Facilities Bond Fund". Plans and Specifications may be obtained from the Office of the Director, Department of Public Works, 3332 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida. Plans and Specifications are to be returned in condition and unmarked within 10 days after bids have been received. Proposal includes the time of performance, and Specifica- tions contain provisions for liquidated damages for failure to complete the work on time.
