A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF AVANTI PRESS, INC.
FOR FURNISHING 150,000 FOUR LANGUAGE BROCHURES FOR THE
DEPARTMENT OF TOURIST PROMOTION AT A TOTAL COST OF
$10,125.00; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM 1977-78 FISCAL YEAR
OPERATING BUDGET; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE
PURCHASING AGENT TO ISSUE THE PURCHASE ORDER FOR THESE
MATERIALS,
WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received
May 1, 1978 for the furnishing of 150,000 Four Language Brochures
for the Department of Tourist Promotion; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to twenty-one potential sup-
pliers and three bids were received; and
WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the 1977-78
Fiscal Year Operating Budget; and ,
WHEREAS, these materials will be used by the Department of
Tourist Promotion for the purpose of distribution in Canada and
Europe; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Tourist
promotion recommend that the bid received from Avanti Press,
be accepted as the most advantageous bid to the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The May 1, 1978 bid of Avanti Press, Inc. for
furnishing 150,000 Four Language Brochures at a total cost of
$10,125.00 is hereby accepted with funds hereby allocated from
1977-78 Fiscal Year Operating Budget of Department of Tourist Promotion.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to
instruct the Purchasing Agnet to issue the Purchase Order for these

Pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were received
May 1, 1978 for furnishing 150,000 Four Language
Brochures for the Department of Tourism Promotion.
Invitations were mailed to twenty-one potential sup-
pliers and three bids were received as follows:

Funds are available in the 1977-78 Fiscal Year Budget.
These brochures will be used in Canada and Europe for
promotional use and for distribution to local tourists
in a continuing vital part of our community program.
It is recommended that the award be made and a resolution
be passed accepting the most advantageous bid as received
from Avanti Press, Inc. for furnishing 150,000 Four
Language Brochures at a total cost of $10,125.00.
The Department of Tourism Promotion concurs with this
recommendation.
