Krouse ZZ� Executive Secretary Civil Service Board May 16, 1978 Civil Service Board Action oh Request for Extension of Employment for Harry Pear1- rnan, Watchman, Department of Stadiums and Marinas, from May 28, 1978 to May 28, 1979 At its meeting of May 16, 1978, the Civil Service Board cohsidered the request of Harry Pearlman, Watchman in the Department of Stadiums and Marinas, for an extension of employment For a period of one year, to be effective May 28, 1978 to May 28, 1979. The Board noted that R. L. Jennings, Director of the Department of Stadiums and Marinas, has recommended approval of this request and that Dr. L. A. Toto, City Physician, has Found Mr. Pearlman physically qualified to continue employment for the additional year. The Board voted to approve the request, with the provision that in the event of a rollback or layoff, Mr. Pearlman, rather than a junior employee, would be affected, noting that this is in accordance with past policy. RDK:am cc: Law Department Files f Robert Krause Executive Secretary Civil Service Board Jenning , Director Department of Stadiums and Marinas April 27, 1978 Harry Pearlman Request for continuation of Active Service beyond age 74 Mr. Harry Pearlman, who is classified as Watchman with this department, has requested, continuation of active service beyond his 74th birthday, May 28, 1978. In accordance with Rule II, Section 4, of the Civil Service Rules and Regulations of the City of Miami, Florida, it is hereby recommended that Mr. Pearlman be retained on active service. Mr. Pearlman is utilized in a senior watchman capacity; and replacement of a person with his dedication, years of experience, ability to handle subordinates, and energy, would be extremely difficult.
