• Disc Golf Course- Kennedy Park
In their letter of April 18, 1978, to Mayor Maurice Ferre,
the Wham-0 Manufacturing Company, in conjunction with
the Gold Coast Frisbee Machine, has offered to donate a
nine hole Disc Pole Hole Golf Course for public use at
David Kennedy Park.
They have only asked that the City, upon accepting this
donation, be responsible for the installation of the course
and that it remain for public utilization for at least one year.
As you may know, the sport of Frisbee throwing and related
activities are very popular and this offer should be a most
welcomed addition to Kennedy Park. It will be the first of
its kind in the South Florida area.
Enclosed for your review and forwarding to the Law
Department is a resolution for the City's acceptance of this
donation.
