Dear Mr. Duggar:
This office has received your request to be placed on the City
Commission Agenda regarding a request for waiver of fees in
conjunction with your organization's first annual ball at Bay-
front Park Auditorium.
Attached is the City Commission's policy on granting fee waivers
From the wording of your request, you apparently realize that
the City Manager cannot grant you a waiver of fees for renting
the auditorium. With regard to the Commission's consideration
of your request, I wish to inform you that waivers of fees
have been traditionally limited to rental cost only. Organi-
zations receiving these waivers are still expected to pay for
personnel costs, utilities and other costs the City incurs in
holding such events. Please, also be aware of the City Commission's
policy that an operating statement for the first annual ball
will be required and the distribution statement for net income
must also be provided should the Commission grant you a waiver
of fees.
I will notify the City Manager of your request to be placed on
the Agenda. You may call me on Thursday afternoon, April 20 to
confirm whether or not your requested item will be on the Agenda.

The Sanitation Employees Association is having
their first annual ball on Friday evening, May 26,
1978 at the f3ayfront Park Auditorium.
We are hereby requesting to appear before the City
Commission at its next regular commission meeting
to request that all fees be waived for this event
since we are a non -profiting organization.
