EYING AND CONFIRMING ALL ACTS OF THE OPPESTREET PARKING BOARD AND ITS DIRECTOR AS TO RATES HERETO` FOR CHARGED; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING THAT THE DIRECTOR SHALL CAUSE CERTIFIED COPIES TO BE FILED PURSUANT TO $tOTSTRUST ONTAINiNO A iEp>AL;t��OV�9NANDA�R$LiitCLAUS WHEREAS, the OffhStreet Parking Board of the City of Miami on February 22, 1978 instructed the Director to submit an ordinance to the City Commission, upon recommendation of the Parking Consultant, that parking rates be increased in certain on*street parking areas, in certain off street parking lots and that the basic hourly rates be increased at Municipal Parking Garage Nos. 1, 3 and 4; and WHEREAS, the Parking Consultant has personally inspected the off-street parking facilities and carefully reviewed the existing rate structure; and WHEREAS, the Parking Consultant has submitted a report, dated February 9, 1978 ► recommending the increase in rates in certain orst reet areas and in certain off-street parking facilities, to be effective May 8, 1978, in order to meet the debt service requirement; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The following designated parking rates are hereby established: 1) Garage Nos. 1, 3, 4 Basic Hourly Rate 2) Parking Lot No, 19 - Biscayne Boulevard 3) Parking Lots Nos. 18, 26, 27 Civic Center 4) Parking Lots .Nos. 37, 39, 41 and part of 38 • Downtown 5) 0n*Street Victors * COD PRESENT RATE 350 per hour 200 per hour 10e per hour 150 per hour 200 per hour ?ROUSED RATE (Eff. 5/8/78) 400 per hour 300 per hour 1.50 per hour 200 per hour 250 per hour iection 2, The rates at provided in this Ordinance shall be effective at 12;01 a,rt,, May 8,1978, Section 3, All acts of the Off -Street Parking Board and its Director as to rates heretofore changed are hereby ratified and confirmed, Section 4, All Ordirfances or parts thereof in conflict herewith are repealed insofar as they are in conflict. Section 5, The bisector of Off -Street Parking shall cause certified copies of this ordinance to be filed pursuant to Section 503 of the Trust Indenture. Section 6. The recommendations of the Parking Consultant were submitted to the Off -Street Parking Board and were approved. The Board has instructed that the attached ordinance be prepared and submitted to the City Commission for their action. Please make the necessary arrangements so that this proposed ordinance will be placed on the April 7 City Commission Agenda to enable the rates to become effective May 8, 1978. After the implementation of these rates, our debt service coverage will begin to increase to a point that we could sell a bond issue to meet our immediate needs.
