RESOLUTION NO, 7' 8- 3 1 9
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A ONE YEAR EXTENSION
OF TPE DEVELOPMENT ORDER AUTHORIZED BY CITY
COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO, 75-135.
WHEREAS, the South Florida Regional Planning Council,
the City of Miami, and the owners of Claughton Island entered into
a Memorandum of Understanding which provided in pertinent part
that "in the event that the owner/developer has not commenced physical
work of the land encompassed herein then the Development Order will
expire three years from the date of final action by the Florida
Land and Water Adjudicatory Commission"; and
WHEREAS, South Florida experienced a severe recession
over the past three years which prevented the owner/developer from
commencing construction; and
WHEREAS, this was a condition imposed initially by the
South Florida Regional Planning Council; and
WHEREAS, the South Florida Regional Council has granted a
one year extension of time in which to begin construction;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. A one year extension of the Development Order
authorized by City Commission Resolution No. 75-135 be, and the same
is hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 27 day of APRIL , 1978.
