HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-78-0308MBA/ s 5/1/78 RESOLUTION NO. 78-:308 A RESOLUTION DENYING THE CHANGE OF ZONING FOR LOT 59, BEACOM MANOR (8-121) BEING APPROXI- MATELY 2526 S.W, 6TH STREET, FROM R-1 (ONE FAMILY) TO R-4 (MEDIUM DENSITY MULTIPLE). WHEREAS, the Miami Zoning Board at its meeting of February 6, 1978, Item No. 4, following an advertised Hearing, adopted Resolution No. ZB 32-78 by a 6 to 1 vote recommending denial for a change of zoning classification as hereinafter set forth; and WHEREAS, the City Commission after careful consideration and due deliberation of this matter deems it advisable and in the best interest of the City of Miami and its inhabitants to deny the change of zoning as hereinafter set forth; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CUTY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The change of zoning for Lot 59, BEACOM MANOR (8-121) being approximately 2526 S.W. 6th Street, from R-1 (One Family) to R-4 (Medium Density Multiple) be and the same is hereby denied. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 6871, THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OP MIAMI, BY CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF LOT 59; BEACOM MANOR (8-121), BEING APPROXI- MATELY 2526 S.W. 6TH STREET, FROM R=1 (OBE FAMILY) TO R-4 (MEDIUM DENSITY MULTIPLE); AND BY MAKING THE NECESSARY CHANGES IN THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP MADE A PART OF THE SAID ORDINANCE NO. 6871 BY REFERENCE AND DESCRIPTION IN ARTICLE III, SECTION 2 THEREOF; BY REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES, CODE SECTIONS, OR PARTS THEREOF IN CONFLICT; AND CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY PROVISION. WHEREAS, the Miami Zoning Board at its meeting of February 6, 1978, Item #4, following an advertised Hearing, adopted Resolution No. ZB 32-78 by a 6 to 1 vote recommending denial for a change of zoning classification as hereinafter set forth; and WHEREAS, notwithstanding the recommendation of the Zoning Board, the City Commission, after careful consideration and due deliberation of this matter, deerhs it advisable and in the best interest of the City of Miami and its inhabitants to grant the zoning change as hereinafter set forth; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COI 0 D���1I�EI4 DEX THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: ITEM N0._ _..� Section 1. Ordinance No. 6871, the Comprehensive Zoning..___ Ordinance for the .City of Miarpi be, and the same is hereby amended by changing the zoning classification of Lot 59; BEACOM MANOR (8-121), being approximately 2526 S.W. 6th Street, from R-1 (One Family) to R-4 (Medium Sensity Multiple); and by making the necessary changes in the Zoning District Map made a part of the said Ordinance No. 6871 by reference and description in Article III, Section 2 thereof. Section 2. That all laws or parts of laws in conflict herewith be, and the same are hereby repealed insofar as they are in conflict. Section 3. Should any part or provision of this ordinance be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the ordina }ce__. as a whole, PASSED ON FIRST READING BY TITLE ONLY this day of 1978.
