A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF IMAGE DEVICES, INC.
FOR FURNISHING ONE MOTION PICTURE CAMERA AND PROJECTOR
FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF TOURIST PROMOTION AT A TOTAL COST
OF $10,375,44 ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE MIAMI-METRO PUB-
LICITY CONTRACT FUND; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND

FOLLOW"
WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received
April 4, 1978 for the furnishing of a motion picture camera and projector
for the Department of Tourist Promotion; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to eighteen potential suppliers
and two bids were received; and
WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the Miami -Metro
Publicity Contract Fund; and
WHEREAS, this equipment will be used by the Department of Tourist
Promotion for the purpose of upgrading the quality of motion pictures made
by the News Division; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Tourist Promotion
recommend that the hid received from Image Devices, Inc. be accepted as
the most advantageous bid to the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The April 4, 1978 bid of Image Devices, Inc. for
furnishing a motion picture camera and projector at a total cost of
$10,375.44 is hereby accepted with funds hereby allocated from the Miami--
Metro Publicity Contract Fund of the Department of Tourist Promotion.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to instruct
the Purchasing Agent to issue the Purchase Order for this equipment.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 27 day of APRIL 1978.

Recommendation for Resolution and
Award of Bid: Motion Picture Camera
and Projector
Pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received
April 4, 1978 for furnishing a motion picture camera
and projector for the Department of Tourist Promotion.
Invitations were mailed to eighteen potential suppliers
and two bids were received.
Funds for this purchase are to he allocated from the
Miami -Metro Publicity Contract Fund.
The equipment will be used by the News Division to up-
grade the quality of motion pictures used in tourist
promotion.
It is recommended that the award be made and a resolu-
tion be passed accepting the most advantageous hid as
received from image Devices, Inc. for furnishing one
motion picture camera and projector for the Depart-
ment of Tourist Promotion at a total cost of $10,375.44.
The Department of Tourist Promotion concurs with this
recommendation.
