FOR ONE GOLF GREENS- MOWER, A FIVE BLADE MOWER AND A ROTARY MOWER AT A COST OF $9,610+0O FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARES,AT A TOTAL COST OF $15,410.00,ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE 1977-1978 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE PURCHAS- ING AGENT TO ISSUE THE PURCHASE ORDERS FOR THIS EQUIPMENT. Invitations were mailed to thirty-six potential sup- pliers and five bids were received as per the attached tablulation. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from the 1977-1978 Fiscal Year Budget. This purchase will replace worn and obsolete equipment to be used on turf maintenance at the Miami Springs Golf Course. It is recommended that the award be made and a resolu- tion be passed accepting the most advantageous bid as received from DeBra Turf and Industrial Equipment Co. for furnishing one truckster with accessories and one aerifier for a cost of $5,800.00, the bid of Hector Turf and Garden Inc. for furnishing one golf greens - mower, a five blade mower, and a rotary mower for a cost of $9,610.00, at a total cost of $15,410.00.
