A RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO: 40904 ORDERING
POINT VIEW HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT 11=4309 (SECTION
B) AND ORDERING POINT VIEW HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT
11-4309, AND DESIGNATING THE PROPERTY AGAINST
WHICH SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS SHALL BE MADE FOR A
PORTION OF THE COST THEREOF AS POINT VIEW HIGHWAY
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT H=4 309 .
WHEREAS, POINT VIEW HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4309
(SECTION B) was ordered on July 24, 1969 by Resolution No.
40904 involving the area along South Bayshore Drive between
S.E. 12 Street and S.E. 15 Road; and
WHEREAS, prior to the confirming of said IMPROVEMENT
the area underwent rapid development warranting an increase in
the scope of said original IMPROVEMENT; and
WHEREAS, the City has now acquired title, either by
deed or through resnbdivision, to all of the outlots along South
Bayshore Drive between S.L. 14 Street and S.F. 15 Road; and
WHEREAS, the City has also acquired sufficient right of
way along South Bayshore Drive between S.E. 12 Street and S.E.
14 Street which will allow an adequate increase in the scope of
the original IMPROVEMENT; and
WHEREAS, the increase in population and traffic, and a
continual deterioration of the existing pavement, side parkways,
and bulkhead show a decided need for improved traffic circulation

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Resolution No. 40904 ordering POINT VIEW
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4309 (SECTION B), passed and adopted
July 24, 1969, Is hereby rescinded.
Section 2. A local improvement described as POINT VIEW
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4309 is hereby ordered to be made under
Section 56 of the Charter of the City of Miami, as amended, to

be located on South Bayshore Drive between S.E. 12 Street
and S.E. 14 Street, including all necessary intersections
encompassed therein and return; and also to be located on
S.E. 14 Street on that portion thereof lying between South
Bayshore Drive to the North and South Bayshore Drive to the
South, including all necessary intersections encompassed
therein and return; and also to be located on South Bayshore
Drive between S.E. 14 Street and S.E. 1.5 Road, including all
necessary intersections encompassed therein and return.
Section 3. This IMPROVEMENT shall include clearing
and grading and filling; removal of unsuitable material as
necessary, construction of asphaltic concrete pavement con-
sisting of 8 inch limerock base and 1' inch asphaltic concrete
surface course, construction of concrete curbs and/or gutters,
construction of concrete sidewalks, construction of a reinforced
concrete bulkhead, construction of drainage facilities and
landscaping as specified and described in the Standard City of
Miami Specifications for Public Works Project.
Section 4. This IMPROVEMENT shall be designated in all
proceedings and assessments as POINT VIEW HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT
H-4309, and the property against which special assessments
shall be made for a portion of the cost thereof, hereunder shall
be designated as POINT VIEW HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT H-4309.

POIiJT VIEW HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT
H-4309 - Resolution Rescinding
Resolution No, 40904 and
Reordering
Plans and Specifications are being prepared to construct
approximately 0.4 mile of streets on South Bayshore Drive
between S. E. 12 Street and S. E. 15 Road and on S, E,
14 Street between South Bayshore Drive North and South
Bayshore Drive South, including necessary intersections
and returns.
This improvement shall include clearing and grading and
filling, removal of unsuitable material if necessary,
construction cf asphaltic concrete pavement consisting
of 8 inch limerock base 11 inch asphaltic concrete surface
course, construction of concrete curbs and/or gutters,
construction of concrete sidewalks, construction of a
reinforced concrete bulkhead, construction of drainage
facilities and landscaping. The ar.r,ro_:imate cost of this
Improvement is estimated to be '1,000,000. Additional
Highway General Obligation Bondc will have to be sold from
those already validated before a contract is awarded.
THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS RECOMMENDS THE RESCISSION
OF RESOLUTION NO. 40904 AND REORDERING POINT VIEW HIGHWAY
