Proposed Ordinance Repealing Chapter 37 of the City Code tNCLOSU ts. On January 24, 1973, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 8750 which abolished the Cityts Board of Review, dealing with books, magazines, music, and the like. Upon review of the entire chapter on this subject, Chapter 37 of the City Code, the provisions therein no longer appear applicable, because of recent state laws, and federal decisions. We have been informed that the Police Department enforces pertinent state laws on the subject. Accordingly, we are recommending that this measure be adopted. GFh/RFC/rb cc: Chief of Police, MPD
