RESOLUTION NO. 7 -,2 2 2
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR
OF FINANCE TO PAY TO JENNIE R. PARRISH,
WITHOUT THE ADMISSION OF LIABILITY, THE
SUM OF $7,200.00 IN FULL AND COMPLETE
SETTLEMENT OF ALL BODILY INJURY CLAIMS
AND DEMANDS AGAINST THE CITY OF MIAMI,
AND UPON EXECUTION OF A RELEASE, RELEASING
THE CITY OF MIAMI FROM ALL CLAIM AND
DEMANDS.
WHEREAS, JENNIE R. PARRISH, filed a claim against The
City of Miami for the alleged bodily injury claim, resulting
from a fall on a City of Miami sidewalk on or about November 5,
1975, at or near 365 Southwest 22nd Road, Miami, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the above claim has been investigated by the Torts
Division of the City Attorney's Office, in accordance with
Ordinance No. 8417, which creates the City of Miami's Self -Insurance
Program, and said office recommends that this claim be settled for
the sum of $7,200.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized
to pay to JENNIE R. PARRISH, without the admission of liability,
the sum of $7,200.00 in full and complete settlement of all bodily
injury claims and demands against the City of Miami, from all
bodily injury claims and demands.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of March ,

Resolution
Jennie R. Parrish, filed a claim against the City of Miami,
through her attorney, Richard M. Welsh, involving a slip and
fall.
This accident occurred on November 5, 1976 at or near 365 S.W.
22nd Road, Miami, Florida.
The ownership and condition of the sidewalk has been verified.
Responsibility rests with the City of Miami.
Jennie R. Parrish fell, causing injury to include comminuted
,fracture of her left elbow, the primary physician is Dr. Pelifer.
A permanent injury rating has been given that being a 10% disability
rating of the left arm.
The total medical expense is $4,117.00. It includes eight (8) days
as an in -patient at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital.
All medical expenses and other items of damage have been verified
as to being correct.
This matter can be settled for $7,200.00. in full and complete settle-
ment. This amount is a negotiated figure.
The above claim has been investigated by the City Attorney's Office and
in accordance with Ordinance No. 8417, which creates the City of Miami's
Self -Insurance Program and said office recommends that the City of Miami
pay $7,200.00 in settlement of this claim.
