The Miami Woman's Golf Association has requested a
waiver of greens fees for their annual tournament at
the City of Miami Country Club and Melreese golf courses.
They have asked for April 25, 1978 at the City of Miami
Country Club, and May 9, 1978 at Melreese Golf Course.
In the past we have let this group use the golf courses,
mandating carts with free greens fees. They are
receiving free greens fees at other municipal courses;
Biltmore in Coral Gables and the County course at
Palmetto. The group normally plays between 60 to 80
women and they do support our golf courses throughout
the year.
It is therefore in order for the Department of Parks and
Recreation to recommend that the request for fee waiver
for April 25th and May 9th be granted to the Greater
Miami Women's Golf. Association.
