A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENTS
FOR FURNISHING FIVE HUNDRED REFUSE TOTE CONTAINERS FOR
THE DEPARTMENT OF SOLID WASTE AT A TOTAL COST OF $9,000.00
ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE 1977-1978 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE PURCHASING AGENT TO
ISSUE THE PURCHASE ORDER FOR THIS EQUIPMENT.
WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received
February 22, 1978 for the furnishing of five hundred refuse tote containers
for the Department of Solid Waste; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to twenty-five potential suppliers

P z WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the 1977-1978

O LL.for the purpose of conveying refuse from the rear yards to the packer trucks; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Solid Waste recommend
WHEREAS, this equipment will he used by the Department of Solid Waste
that the bid received from Controlled Environments be accepted as the most ad-
vantageous bid to the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The February 22, 1978 bid of Controlled Environments for
furnishing five hundred refuse tote containers at a total cost of $9,000.00 is
hereby accepted with funds hereby allocated from the 1977-1978 Fiscal Year Budget
of the Department of Solid Waste.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to instruct
the Purchasing Agent to issue the Purchase Order for this equipment.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23 day of March 1978.

Pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received February 22,
1978 for furnishing five hundred refuse tote containers fot the
Department of Solid Waste.
Invitations were mailed to twenty-five potential suppliers and four
bids were received as follows:

Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from the 1977-1978
Fiscal Year Budget.
This is a yearly purchase to replenish the worn containers used by
the waste collectors to convey garbage from rear yards to City gar-
bage trucks.
It is recommended that the award be made and a resolution be passed
accepting the most advantageous bid as received from Controlled En-
vironments for furnishing five hundred tote containers for the Depart-
ment of Solid Waste.
The Department of Solid Waste concurs with this recommendation.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The tote containers are used by the waste collection

ENVIRONMENTS.
The Department of Solid Waste concurs.
