Please see attachment of the request to extend the agreement until January 30, 2026. In addition, please note that the COPS 2025 agreement needed to be reviewed and approved by the City of Miami Commissioners first. The meeting was scheduled on January 8th 2026, and now the Mayor will have 10 more days from the review date to veto the agreement and then after which MPD legislative detail will need time to route the agreement to obtain all the required signatures. In addition, MPD did request more time to fulfill all these requirements to the DOJ/BJA Grant Manager that has been cc on this email as well. Thanks, in advance.
